What differentiates Black Dog?

Black Dog recognizes our client's need for high quality, personalized, and bespoke support to extend their own service standards and ethos into areas in which they are unable to send their own employees for whatever reason. This 'customer facing' role must be entrusted to someone who will uphold and drive our Clients' existing service values. Black Dog hires intelligent experienced individuals who do more than just provide a 'name to a slot'! Often working on their own or in small teams our Consultant(s) will understand the Client's priorities and how to implement them. The way the Black Dog management team achieves this is by coordinating close communication and support to close the circle between the Client, Consultant, and end Customer.

How do you select Consultants?

We select Consultants in two respects. Firstly they must have a proven skillset that is relevant to the task at hand. This can be as varied as Project Management to Logistics to specific commercial/military equipment knowledge and experience. Secondly, they must have proven experience and/or qualities that will enable them to operate effectively in the type of environments our Clients wish to do business in.

It is important if we are required to support a Client in a sensitive area that we only send a Consultant who is not only suitable but happy to work there. This ability is proven, but not limited by, personal recommendation.

Do you only operate in war zones?

Whilst our expertise is in emerging economies and unstable countries we are not limited to providing support in these areas. High-quality service is relevant in every corner of the world and we are happy to deliver our unique brand wherever our Clients wish to operate, from Ipswich to Iraq.

It may be that a client has a need to deliver a service in a benign environment that it is either not used to, has no presence in or basically has no 'in-house' expertise or infrastructure to fulfill the requirement.

Also there are environments which are not at war or unstable, but just plain difficult to work in. This is where our brand of support and experience can help our Clients either by enhancing or substituting their existing service capabilities.

What services can Black Dog provide?

Black Dog has a Consultant base that is broadly specialized in delivering communications projects and objectives. However, this does not limit our capabilities to communications projects. Our service differentiator and particular skills in working in difficult environments mean that we have the means to help, advise and support Clients who lack the relevant experience when branching into a new and/or troubled arena.

Black Dog can provide individual consultants or teams providing services that include, but are not limited to:

- Design and integration services
- Project Management
- Logistical support and co-ordination
- Communications engineering support
- Provision and maintenance of in-country communications infrastructure
- Non-communications engineering support
- Technical or environmental advice and support

What added value can Black Dog give to my company/project/contract?

Black Dog only retains the services of consultants with a high degree of professionalism and relevant experience. We mainly recruit former military personnel and our main core of Consultants are ex-Special Forces. This approach will not limit the type of consultant we use; however, we do look for any potential Consultants to demonstrate resourcefulness and level of experience that parallels the Black Dog ethos of service delivery.

What type of Consultants are you looking for?

We are always looking out for Consultants who can 'bring something to the party. You must be flexible, adaptable, and resourceful. Above all, you must have a high personal standard of workmanship and professionalism with whatever you do. You will be representing Black Dog and more importantly our clients. This is our Service differentiator and we hold it in high regard.

Skills we are looking for include project management, logistics management, communications engineering skills (commercial and military), and general engineering skills.

Can I register as a consultant with you?

Absolutely. Register your interest as a potential Black Dog Consultant. We will be in touch with you to investigate your credentials, experience, and area(s) of expertise and once accredited will hold your details on our database for future opportunities.

Can I bring opportunities to you for help?

Yes. We have a Business Referral Scheme that rewards incumbent or new Consultants who bring in new or ongoing business to Black Dog. If you have a business opportunity that you think Black Dog might be interested in supporting then please contact the team and we will be happy to discuss it with you.
